How do the cloth nappies work?

They work just like normal nappies except there are obviously a few things to note regarding the different types of cloth nappies. Have a look at the directions for use that Mother Nature Products provide by clicking here.

You can also watch a video tutorial provided by Fancypants Products here.

How do you clean the cloth nappies? Isn't it gross!?

It's actually very straight forward. We use our lidded bucket lined with the laundry mesh bag and when we're ready we simply take out the laundry bag and chuck it into the washing machine! If there are particularly bad stains then simply rub the stain a little with the laundry soap bar.

You can view a full detailed set of washing instructions and guidelines by clicking here, kindly provided by Mother Nature Products.

We will be creating and uploading our own video tutorials soon, watch this space!

How many cloth nappies are enough?

If you are planning on using cloth nappies on a part time basis with disposables then you can get away with anything from 5 to 15 nappies, depending on how often you want to wash your cloth nappies.
If you want to use cloth nappies on a full time basis then you should invest in anything from 15 to 30 nappies. This will also depend on the how often you want to wash your cloth nappies.

If you want to chat about it we will happily try provide more guidance, just get in contact with us.

But cloth nappies seem expensive, why should I spend that money?

Yes, investing in cloth nappies is a high cost upfront BUT you will save up to triple that over the 2 to 3 years your child is using nappies. Additionally, remember that your cloth nappy stash can be passed down to your next child.

We once did a cost analysis on the price of disposables in Windhoek and how much you could save using cloth nappies, see it on our Faceboook page here.

Where do your products come from?

The Mother Nature Products and Fancypants Products are imported from South Africa.

We are always looking at ways to grow the business and have also started producing some products of our own, right here in Namibia!
